“I can’t see my life without animals.” When Dr. Scolnick opened Pets On Broadway with Dr. Griffin in August 2000, she guaranteed she’d be living her passion. That passion started early, “I probably wanted to be a veterinarian by the age of two.” Her focus continued through veterinary school at Ontario Veterinary College, where she graduated in 1988. She went on to practice in Canada for the next few years. She then worked with Dr. Griffin at Aspenwood Animal Hospital in Denver, for seven years. While her specialty is dermatology, she works with a variety of cases and has a great interest in internal medicine, and acupuncture. She believes strongly in preventative care and a employs a conservative approach to vaccinations. She continues to pursue education and each year attends the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatologists’ (AAVD) conference, to learn the latest treatments. Dr. Scolnick is married to Jay and is raising sons Spencer and Myles. And of course there are her three dogs, Princess, Duke, and Sophie, and her two horses, Tommy and Lambert.
