Medical/Surgical
At Pets On Broadway our number one priority is to provide you and your pet with top quality medical, diagnostic, and surgical care. We’re specialists in dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and surgery. We believe in preventative medicine and we take a proactive approach to treatment. That is, we think it’s best to see your pet before the trouble begins and then giving them only what they need, based on their environment, age, health, breed, etc. We don’t just dole out generic diagnoses and prescriptions. Plus, we’re leaders in the trend towards more targeted vaccines, given only when needed most - when they’re at risk for disease. Plus, we make sure we do our homework and know both the benefits and the risks of the medicines we prescribe.
Our surgical area is the most advanced. We offer state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, assuring the utmost in safety. When you pet is under anesthesia, we monitor their heart and respiratory rate, their temperature (lessening the risk of hypothermia), and the amount of oxygen in the blood. We employ equipment you’d only find at human hospitals, such as I.V. pumps for intravenous medication and fluids; blood chemistry units, used to get test results in minutes – allowing for quicker treatment; and a top quality x-ray machine and an automatic processor that also gives the patient the benefit of speed. And we provide pain management, both pre and post-operative. Our staff are highly trained, caring professionals. Our certified medical technicians are the best at what they do - anticipating the animal’s needs and working seamlessly with Dr. Griffin and Dr. Scolnick and each other. You’ll be comforted, knowing that your pet is being cared for by a well-run, thoughtful team. Plus, we have a group of specialists such as an orthopedic surgeon and a board certified radiologist, on call for consultation and to assist with specific cases. The support of other professionals, helps us continue to learn and ensures that your pet gets the best of the best.
Grooming
Our grooming department is second to none. Lou Sell brings twenty years experience to her role as caretaker and stylist. She takes pride in her job and considers the grooming area her own. Everything is in one room, so she can wash, dry, and groom with ease, keeping the animals happy and the room spotless. She offers a wide range of specialty oatmeal shampoos created to help with seborrhea, bacterial disease, yeast problems, or sensitive, dry, oily, and allergic skin. Plus, our regular soothing hydrotherapy can help eliminate the need for certain drugs such as anti-inflammatories. Lou works with all breeds, but specializes in Poodles and Bichons. Prices range from $15-$80 depending on the breed, so call us for a quote.
Kennels
At Pets On Broadway, we believe in making your pet’s kennel visit a pleasant one. We provide a friendly, clean, and spacious, environment during their stay with us. Whether it’s a day visit, overnight, or an extended holiday stay, our accommodations provide your pet with comfort and security. We also, make sure they get to socialize while they’re here so they don’t get lonely. The kennel is fully staffed, and cleaned regularly. We have a wide range of boarding options – give us a call.
Retail Store
Pets On Broadway has a large retail store where you can purchase dry and wet prescription diet, vitamins, shampoo, pet carriers, cat nip, soft paws (a humane approach to cat scratching), novelty gifts, including toys. Plus, we have leashes, collars, and bowls. Come and visit us for all your pets’ needs.
