A Success Story
Dr. Sheryl Scolnick
|
Not too long ago, we had one really unique case. His name was Benjamin, a dog that had septicemia (a bacterial infection) from head to toe and he was simply dying. He came in comatose. We did everything we could. I sent him to a specialist and she said she couldnt do anymore and the owner said no way, Im not putting my dog to sleep, you keep trying. We were determined not to let this dog go. It took a week and a half just to get the dog to eat, but the owner believed in us and in the dog. We pride ourselves in rising to the challenge of helping a pet in need. It was amazing - we brought that dog back and now he walks in and out of here. Can you imagine if wed put that dog to death? This is truly one of our successes.

Our Place In the Community
At Pets On Broadway,
we feel its important to be part of our community. We feel strongly
about giving aid to both pets and people. Thats why we offer internships
to individuals studying to be veterinary medical technicians. We go to
schools to educate and offer our Vet for a day program. And
for the animals that need an advocate, we work with Colorado
Greyhound Adoptions and
Colorado
Sheltie Rescue,
getting dogs ready for adoption by providing much needed dental care,
vaccinations, neuters, and more. We also provide care for animals from
the Maxfund
a no-kill shelter.
